Planning your elopement in Moab? One of the first things to lock in is where you’ll stay, so I’m sharing my top picks for places to stay in Moab for your elopement weekend. But before we dive into red rocks and epic vows, let’s talk about where to stay — because having the right home base makes your whole weekend feel smoother, calmer, and honestly, way more fun.
Whether you’re bringing a few loved ones or keeping it simple with just the two of you, these are my favorite places to stay in Moab — all tried, tested, and loved by real couples.
If you want the full Moab experience, this is the spot. Red Cliffs Lodge sits right on the Colorado River, surrounded by jaw-dropping canyon views. Getting there feels like its own little adventure — the drive is one of the most scenic in all of Moab.
It’s about 25 minutes from both downtown and the Arches National Park entrance, with room types ranging from hotel-style suites to cozy cabins with kitchenettes. It’s also pet-friendly, kid-friendly, and absolutely guest-friendly, with options for booking 20+ rooms for group lodging.
And the amenities? Think horseback riding, rafting, hot tub, pool, spa, a great playground, and even side-by-side rentals and air tours. Seriously, everything you need is right there.
Looking for something that feels homey and convenient? Sage Creek Resort is condo-style — perfect for families or groups. Full kitchens, tons of space, and a gorgeous resort-style pool make it easy to settle in. Bonus: It’s only 5 minutes from downtown.
Modern, minimal, and super close to everything — Element Hotel is a solid option if you’re looking for a clean, stylish place to get ready and crash after a big day.
Want to be in the center of it all? Hoodoo Moab is your upscale downtown pick. Beautiful rooms, on-site spa, and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Their restaurant, Josie Wyatt’s Grill, is a solid date-night spot.
Castle Valley Inn – Quiet, charming, and just the right amount of removed. A great option for couples craving calm.
SpringHill Suites – A more affordable hotel with great amenities and a beautiful pool, located close to Arches (though not downtown).
If you’re still in the early planning stages, I’ve got you — this blog covers so much more about planning your Moab elopement (from permits to packing lists to how to keep it stress-free).
And if the idea of coordinating all of this feels overwhelming, here’s some good news: I offer an all-inclusive elopement package where I help you plan everything — including your lodging. You just show up and soak it all in.
Let’s make your Moab elopement unforgettable — and relaxed from start to finish.
