When planning how to get married in Moab Utah, it’s vital to know the licensing options and how they fit into your elopement plan. You can apply online with Utah County or in person at the Grand County Clerk’s Office. As part of my All-Inclusive Utah Elopement Package in the US (Utah-only elopements), I guide you through the process. I handle all licensing, officiant services, paperwork, and day-of details, so you can focus on your adventure.
Option 1: Utah County Online Marriage License (Valid in Moab)
Apply fully online—upload ID with a quick face scan, pay about $71.75, and receive your license instantly.
Licenses are valid statewide for 32 days, perfect if you’re flying in and prepping ahead.
After your ceremony, your officiant (provided in Hannah’s packages) submits the license digitally. You’ll then receive both digital and printed certificates. Witness names are entered digitally—no physical signatures.
Option 2: Grand County (Moab) In-Person Marriage License
Visit the Grand County Clerk’s office (125 E. Center St., Moab) with photo IDs, ceremony date, & officiant’s name. The $50 fee includes one certified copy. (grandcountyutah.net)
The license is valid everywhere in Utah. Post-ceremony, the officiant returns the signed paper license within 30 days. Witness signatures are required on-site. (grandcountyutah.net)
Utah requires no waiting period, and licenses are valid 32 days after issuance—perfect for spontaneous or planned Moab elopements. (utcourts.gov)
